Consider a resolution approving an amendment to the Interlocal Agreement with the Cities of Southlake, Colleyville, Roanoke, and the Towns of Trophy Club and Northlake for the continued operation of the North Tarrant Regional SWAT Team and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents.
Background:
The City of Keller is a member of the North Tarrant Regional SWAT Team through an Interlocal Agreement with Southlake, Colleyville, Roanoke, and Trophy Club. The participating agencies have identified benefits in adding the Town of Northlake to strengthen regional coordination and increase team capacity.
To add Northlake, the Interlocal Agreement has been amended. All other terms of the agreement remain the same. Section 14 of the current agreement requires any amendment to be approved by each participating governing body; therefore, Council approval is necessary.
Financial Impact:
There is no anticipated fiscal impact beyond Keller’s existing commitments under the current agreement. Each agency continues to fund its own personnel, equipment, training, and operational needs as outlined in Exhibit “A.”

Staff recommends approval of the Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the Amended and Restated North Tarrant Regional SWAT Interlocal Agreement adding the Town of Northlake as a participating member.
