Title

Consider a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Neel-Schaffer, of Arlington, Texas; to provide professional program management and engineering services for the Public Works Department related to the 2026 Sidewalk Construction Program, and authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute all contract documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Body

Action Requested:

Approve a professional services agreement with Neel-Schaffer of Arlington, Texas; in an amount not to exceed $315,000.00 and authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to execute all related documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Background:

With the gaps and small missing sidewalk connections addressed in the 2025 sidewalk construction effort, the 2026 sidewalk construction effort can now focus on larger missing sidewalk connections.  In 2025, Neel-Schaffer assisted city staff with the program management, engineering services, and construction administration of the sidewalk gaps project. This 2026 agreement is a continuation of those services to assist City Staff in successfully delivering the 2026 Sidewalk Construction Program.

The recommended agreement with Neel-Schaffer will provide program management with engineering design and field observation services on an as-needed basis.

Financial Impact:

Funding is included in the Street System Capital Improvements Project Fund with funding provided by the General Fund.
