Consider a resolution approving the bid from SRH Landscapes, LLC., of Dallas, Texas for contractual services relating to Keller Town Center Annual Landscape Maintenance Services, for the Parks and Recreation Department, for a three-year term; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all contract documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving the bid from SRH Landscapes, LLC., for contractual services relating to Keller Town Center Annual Landscape Maintenance Services, in an amount not to exceed $794,280.00.
Background:
The Town Center Landscape Maintenance Services includes maintenance for all rights-of-way within Town Center from Rufe Snow Drive to Keller-Smithfield Road and Bear Creek Parkway to Keller Parkway; The Parks at Town Center; Keller Police Station; Fire Station No. 1, the Moviehouse & Eatery and Old Town Keller.
A request for sealed bids for said services was advertised in accordance with State law. The term of the bid is one (1) twelve-month period beginning December 1, 2024, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting was also advertised and conducted on October 9, 2024. Ten (10) vendors attended the pre-bid meeting.
Four (4) bids were received and read aloud in accordance with State law on October 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. The lowest bid was submitted from SHR Landscapes, LLC., in the total amount of $264,760.00 for each twelve-month period, totaling $794,280.00 for the three year period.
SHR Landscapes, LLC., has performed similar landscape services for the towns of Highland Park, Rockwall, and the North Texas Tollway and George Bush Tollway Authorities, and have been the previous mowing contractor for several City of Keller properties.
Financial Impact:
Funding is available in the FY 2024-25 Parks and Recreation General Fund budget.
