Action Requested:
Approve a resolution for concrete repair and replacement services from C.I. Pavement of Grand Prairie, Texas; through the TIPS-USA purchasing cooperative in the amount of $352,050.00.
Background:
The TIPS-USA purchasing cooperative is a purchasing program that allows state and local governments to benefit from shared purchasing power. Utilizing this type of program for construction and repair services meets the City of Keller’s competitive bidding requirements and streamlines the purchasing process.
On September 6th, 2022, The City council approved a resolution for concrete repair and replacement services from CI Pavement of Grand Prairie Texas for the completion of the remaining locations of the FY 2021-22 sidewalk repair program. During the completion of the FY 2021-22 sidewalk repair program, additional locations were identified for sidewalk repair and replacement outside of the original known scope at the time of the 2022 project.
With the identification of additional locations and other normal annual repair needs, the City, utilizing the TIPS-USA purchasing cooperative, contacted C.I. Pavement for a proposal on the newly identified citywide locations.
City staff has reviewed and determined that the proposal from C.I. Pavement of Grand Prairie, Texas, provides for the lowest and most responsible unit prices for such services and recommends the purchase of concrete repair and replacement services in the amount of $352,050.00.
