Consider a resolution authorizing payment of annual membership dues to the North East Fire Department Association for the Fire Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Background:
The Keller Fire Department maintains membership with the North East Fire Department Association, a regional organization that provides training opportunities, professional collaboration, mutual aid coordination, and networking among participating fire departments throughout the region.
Participation in the association allows Keller Fire Department personnel access to educational resources, training programs, cooperative initiatives, and regional communication with neighboring agencies. Continued membership supports the department’s commitment to professional development and regional emergency response coordination.
Financial Impact:
The annual membership dues for Fiscal Year 2025-26 are $56,732.28. For comparison, the Fiscal Year 2024-25 dues were $45,365.56. Funding for the dues is included in the Fire Department’s approved operating budget.
