Consider a resolution approving an agreement with Bludot Technologies Inc. of Mountain View, California; to provide a customer relationship management platform for Economic Development and citywide rewards program; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving an agreement with Bludot Technologies Inc. of Mountain View, California in the total amount not to exceed $57,256.
Background:
The Economic Development Strategic Business plan objectives include promotion and retention. Bludot Technologies Inc. Open Rewards shop local application meets these objectives by promoting businesses, attracting new customers, and boosting retention, by incentivizing customers to shop locally. The Open Rewards program provides 5% cash back to customers who shop at Keller businesses during the program.
Open Rewards will run for a time period not to exceed two months with reward funds totaling $50,000. The funds will be held in a Bludot Technologies Inc. account for distribution based on parameters set by the Economic Development Department. Any funds remaining at the end of the two-month time period will be returned to the city. The Open Rewards application program subscription and customer relationship management platform total $7,256.
The Open Rewards program will launch at the start of Restaurant week and run until reward funds have been depleted or the established two-month time period. City Council received a presentation from Bludot Technologies Inc. on its Open Rewards program on February 18, 2025, during work session. The Keller Economic Development Board received a presentation from Bludot Technologies Inc. on their Open Rewards program on February 24, 2025, during work session.
