Action Requested:                     

Consider amending the City of Keller Code of Ordinances Chapter 12 - Parks and Recreation by replacing the current provisions related to littering and increasing the penalty for littering.

 

Background:                     

At the City Council meeting held February 7, 2023, the City Council was briefed regarding the City’s current littering ordinance and fines associated with littering.  Council directed staff to increase the fine and place permanent signage throughout the city regarding littering and the fines associated.

The City Attorney has reviewed and approved this item.

 

Council Action:                     

Staff recommends approval of the proposed resolution as presented.
