Action Requested:                     

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of three (3) replacement sets of Extrication Rescue Tools for the Fire Department in the total amount of $79,835.

Background:                     

The Fire Department’s current extrication tools have reached the end of their ten year life cycle and are due for replacement. The proposed purchase will include one set per frontline fire apparatus and two sets of mounting brackets for the reserve fire apparatus.

Financial Impact:

The total cost of the Extrication Tools is $79,835. Funding is available in the Equipment Replacement Fund.
