Consider a resolution authorizing the use of the Construction Manager-At-Risk Method for the Keller Sports Park Renovation Project, as the best value project delivery method for the City of Keller, other than design-bid-build.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution authorizing the use of the Construction Manager-At-Risk Method for the Keller Sports Park Renovation Project to provide the best value for the City of Keller.
Background:
Texas Local Government Code 2269 allows construction projects to be delivered in a method other than design-bid-build. However, the municipality must formally state what method provides the best value prior to advertising. The Keller Sport Park Renovation Project is currently in the design phase, and the architect and staff are ready to utilize the services of a Construction Manager-At-Risk to assist in the design and complete the construction.
Financial Impact:
Funding is available through Obligation Bonds funded by the Keller Development Corporation.

Using an alternative project delivery method for construction of the Keller Sports Park Renovation Project has been reviewed by the City Attorney.
