Action Requested:                     

Consider approving the updates to the Keller Sports Park Operating Policies and Concessionaire Contract.

 

Background:                     

The Keller Sports Park Operating Policies were approved by Resolution No. 3390 on July 2, 2013. The policies were created by the Keller Sports Park Operating Task Force, which included representatives of the Parks and Recreation Board, Keller Youth Association, Keller Soccer Association, Alliance Rugby Club, Keller Horse Owners Association, and the Keller Saddle Club.

The City of Keller has made a substantial investment in the redevelopment of the Keller Sports Park, and staff was directed to update the Keller Sports Park Operating Policies and Concessionaire Contract to maximize the usage of the facility.

 

Financial Impact:

The City of Keller will receive additional revenue from resident and non-resident fees, and field rentals going forward.

 

Citizen Input/Board Review:                     

The recommended changes were established with the assistance of members of the Parks and Recreation Board, KDC, and a City Council sub-committee.

 

Legal Review:                       

The City Attorney has reviewed the changes to the policies.

City Council has the following alternatives:
