Title

Consider a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Wade Trim, Inc., of Fort Worth, Texas; for the purpose of providing engineering design services related to the Chandler Road and Keller Parkway Intersection Improvements Project for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Body

Action Requested:

Approve a professional services agreement with Wade Trim in order to provide engineering design services related to the Chandler Road and Keller Parkway Intersection Improvements in the amount of $99,814.00.

Background:

The existing intersection of Chandler Road and Keller Parkway is twenty feet wide which allows for only one shared lane for turns onto Keller Parkway, this results in queuing making it difficult to turn on and off Chandler Road. This project would widen Chandler Road at the intersection with Keller Parkway, increase the turning radii and include pedestrian upgrades. The scope of the contract includes coordination with TxDOT, a traffic study, engineering design, bid phase assistance and construction phase assistance.

Financial Impact:

Funding is available for this project in the Street System Capital Improvement Project Fund with funding provided by the Street Maintenance Fund. As unforeseen circumstances are encountered, which results in an overage of the project budget, further council action and budget amendments may be required
