Consider a resolution approving the proposal for a customized municipality mobile app with GOGov, Inc., of Islandia, New York, for the purpose of delivering a fully integrated citizen reporting solution and information portal providing mobile application, web platform, and texting capabilities, for a three (3) year period with an option for two (2) additional one (1) year renewal periods, for a total of five (5) years; and further authorizes the City Manager to execute all contract documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Background:
Following an Request for Proposals process earlier this year, along with staff assessments of several vendors and discussions by a City Council subcommittee, city staff is recommending a contract with GOGov, Inc., to develop and customize a mobile app for the City of Keller. The City Council received a demonstration of the proposed software’s capabilities during their August 6 work session. The contract with GOGov will be for an initial three-year period, with the option to extend for two additional one-year terms. This agreement will deliver a fully integrated citizen reporting solution and information portal.
Financial Impact:
The financial impact of this agreement with GOGov, Inc. involves an annual expenditure of $31,380, resulting in a total cost of $94,140 over the initial three-year period. If the City opts to extend the contract for the additional two one-year terms, the total cost over five years will be $156,900. These expenses will be covered by the General Fund - Communications Division budget of the Administration Department.
