Action Requested:                     

Approve a construction contract with Canary Construction of Lewisville, Texas; in the amount of $314,060.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute all related documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

 

Background:                     

On March 29, 2023, two (2) bids were received for the Sanitary Sewer Improvements Park North Lane Project. Staff, with the assistance of engineering firm Criado, evaluated the bids and references and recommends Canary Construction of Lewisville, Texas be awarded the contract in the amount of $314,060.00 with construction to be substantially complete within 120 calendar days.

The project includes reconstruction of an existing sanitary sewer main line, realigning portions of sewer main line to avoid private property and service line connections for property owners.

A bid summary has been included for reference.

 

Financial Impact:

Funding for this activity is included in the Water & Wastewater Capital Improvements Project Fund with funding provided by the Water & Wastewater Utility Fund.

This item has been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney.

Staff recommends approval of the item as presented.
