Approve a contract renewal proposal for Third-Party Building Inspection Services with Safebuilt Texas, LLC, of Fort Worth, Texas for the purpose of providing third-party building inspections services, for the Community Development Department, in the amount $156,750.00; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all contract documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Background:
In April 2023, a contract was awarded to Safebuilt Texas, LLC for third-party building inspections services. The contract with Safebuilt may be renewed for up to four (4) additional years, for a contract period not to exceed a total of five (5) years. Additionally, working with Safebuilt, staff was able to identify a fixed annual escalation amount of 4.5% that would allow for the consistent projection of costs over the life of the contract.
