Background:

On April 1, 2024, The Keller Pointe contacted Mountjoy Aquatics in Richardson, Texas, to request a quote for replacing the Indoor Pool's Ultraviolet Water Sanitation System. The current UV system, which has been in operation for over a decade, and has experienced significant issues due to its age and the increasing difficulty in sourcing replacement parts. The Ultraviolet system is essential for maintaining water quality and ensuring guest safety in the Indoor Pool. It not only serves as a secondary disinfection method alongside chlorine but also aids in reducing chlorine usage, provides rapid and continuous treatment, and helps the facility comply with regulatory requirements.

Financial Impact:

The cost of the new Dulcodes Ultraviolet Water Sanitation System for the Indoor Pool is $79,872.81.  Funding will be provided by The Keller Pointe Recreation/Aquatic Fund and will require a future budget amendment.
