Action Requested:                     

Consider a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Wade Trim for providing engineering design for the 2021 Annual Street Maintenance Project in the amount of $133,680.00.

 

Background:                     

On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, city staff received 75 statements of qualifications from engineering firms in response to the city’s general Request for Qualifications (RFQ).  After extensive review of each relevant RFQ, city staff determined that Wade Trim was the most qualified.  Staff then negotiated a proposal for design and construction services based on the scope of projects as outlined by the 2020 Pavement Management Analysis Report.  The annual project actions ranges from simple surface treatments and localized repairs to full reconstruction in order to maintain the residential street system.  The streets selected are shown on the attached map.

 

Financial Impact:

The project is included in the Street Capital Improvement Project Fund with funding provided from the Street Improvement fund.  The proposed agreement is for an amount not to exceed $133,680.00.

The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the proposed resolution.
