Consider a resolution rejecting all proposals received for the Rehabilitation of the 1.0 MG Keller Smithfield Elevated Storage Tank Project, for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Approve a resolution rejecting all proposals for the Rehabilitation of the 1.0 MG Keller Smithfield Elevated Storage Tank Project received on October 29, 2025 and authorizing the City Manager to re-advertise the project.
Background:
On October 29, 2025, the City of Keller Public Works Department received one (1) qualified proposal for the Rehabilitation of the 1.0 MG Keller Smithfield Elevated Storage Tank Project. The estimated budget for this project was $1,600,000. However, the one proposal received, for $1,750,000, is beyond the estimate and project budget. As a result, City staff recommends that the City Council reject all proposals and authorize the City Manager to re-advertise the project. It is anticipated the project will be rebid in late 2026 after the summer peak water demand has passed.
