Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, pursuant to Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government code, and pursuant to the City’s Economic Development Policy, with Bill Dang, owner of property located at 314 North Main Street, Keller, Texas, for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant, in the amount of $5,000.
Background:
Bill Dang, owner of the restaurant, Tio Carlos, is requesting a $5,000 façade improvement matching grant for improvements to the property located at 314 North Main Street. The total estimated cost of all building improvement is $13,628.75.
Façade Improvements for Reimbursement include:
- Replacing and painting rotten trim boards on building
- Replacing and staining posts in front of building and on patio.
- Repainting front elevation fascia
- Installing additional bracing for front patio pergola, power-washing and staining.
Financial Impact:
The remaining program budget for FY 2018-19 is $32,957.50. If the façade improvement matching grant application is approved, the remaining budget would be $27,957.50.
Citizen Input/Board Review:
The Keller Economic Development Board will be reviewing the project at their March 18, 2019 meeting. Their input will be relayed during the presentation of this item at the City Council meeting.
Legal Review:
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed the proposed Chapter 380 Agreement.

- Denial
