Consider a resolution approving amendments to the City of Keller Public Arts Master Plan and Policy for the City of Keller, Texas.
Background:
The first City of Keller Public Arts Master Plan and Policy were adopted by City Council on in 2010 and were updated in 2016. The purpose of the plan is to provide an overview of the Public Arts Program in Keller, define public art and its role in the Keller community, revise and update program goals, and identify potential sites for art in Keller. The policy provides guidelines for public art projects, including project criteria, funding and artist selection methods.
The Public Arts Board held several work sessions with staff to discuss revisions to the plan. The Board intends to review and update the plan every five years. The major changes/additions in the 2022 Plan and Policy include the addition of a detailed program history written by the Board and one addition to the policy (see page 20 of Exhibit A).

The Public Arts Board reviewed the Plan and Policy for a final time at their regular meeting on January 12, 2022 and voted 6-1 to recommend approval.
