Consider a resolution approving the purchase of two replacement playground structures, from The Playground, Shade and Surfacing Depot, LLC., of Keller, Texas, in the amount of $343,324.00, through the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing Program.
Background:
The existing playgrounds at the Keller Sports Park were installed in 1998 at baseball and 2003 at soccer, and they are reaching the end of their useful life expectancy. Staff has conducted a review of all twelve playground structures within the Parks System, and determined that this playground is in the most need of replacement.

Financial Impact:
The replacement playground structures, in the amount of $343,324.00 shall be paid from the Parks Capital Improvement Project Fund with funding from the adopted FY 2023-24 Keller Development Corporation Budget.
Citizen Input/Board Review:
The Parks and Recreation Department presented four options for replacement playgrounds to the public through an on-line survey. We received over 700 responses, and the options we recommend purchasing received almost 70% of the votes.
