Action Requested:

Consider a resolution approving the contract with Lakeside Aquatics Club in the amount not exceeding $90,000.00, for The Keller Pointe Recreation and Aquatic Center; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all purchase documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Background:

The Keller Pointe partners with Lakeside Aquatics Club to provide swim lessons through a revenue-sharing agreement. Under this agreement, 60% of program revenue goes to Lakeside Aquatics Club, and The Keller Pointe retains the remaining 40%.

Based on current projections for participation and revenue, total payments to Lakeside Aquatics Club are expected to exceed $50,000. However, we do not anticipate payments going over $90,000 for the fiscal year.

Per City policy, we are requesting City Council approval to authorize payments exceeding $50,000 to Lakeside Aquatics Club.

Financial Impact:

Lakeside Aquatics Club operates under a revenue-sharing agreement with The Keller Pointe. Under this agreement, 60% of program revenue goes to Lakeside Aquatics Club, and The Keller Pointe retains the remaining 40%.  This program generates a significant portion of the facility’s annual revenue and serve as the primary funding source for the Aquatics Department.
