Consider a resolution amending Resolution No. 4260, approved by the City Council on June 16, 2020 for a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, pursuant to Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code, pursuant to the City of Keller Façade Improvement Grant Policy, with Albert "Trey" Grant III of The Well Church Keller, owner of 129 Pecan Street, Keller, Texas, extending the completion date and authorizing the City Manager to execute said documents on behalf of the city.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving an amendment to the Chapter 380 Economic Development Agreement extending the completion date for a Façade Improvement Grant at 129 Pecan Street, Keller, TX.
Background:
Trey Grant of the Well Church Keller at 129 Pecan Street was awarded an improvement grant on June 16, 2020 with a one (1) year deadline to complete improvements with a condition to bring the site up to current building and fire codes. As allowed by the program policy, a six (6) month extensions was granted June 9, 2021 with a new deadline of December 16, 2021. Documentation for reimbursement was submitted on December 15, 2021, however the necessary inspections and testing for fire safety equipment had not been completed. A request for the second extension was received April 17, 2022, after all requirements were completed.
Financial Impact:
Façade Improvement Grant amount: $4,095.19
The remaining budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22 is $35,000. If approved, the remaining budget would be $30,904.81.
Legal Review:
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed the proposed amendment and resolution.
