Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving a construction contract with McClendon Construction Company, Inc. of Burleson, Texas in the amount of $7,242,914.11 and authorizing the City Manager to execute all related documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Background:
On August 10, 2022, five (5) competitive sealed proposals were received for the Johnson Road Reconstruction project. Staff, with the assistance of Teague, Nall and Perkins, has reviewed and evaluated the proposals in accordance with the criteria published in the request for competitive sealed proposals and recommends McClendon Construction Company, Inc. of Burleson, Texas be awarded the contract in the amount of $7,242,914.11 with construction to be substantially complete within 525 calendar days of notice to proceed.
The project includes converting the existing four way stop at the intersection of Johnson Road and Keller-Smithfield Road to a single lane roundabout, paving improvements, water line improvements, drainage improvements and new sidewalks.

Financial Impact:
Funding is included in the Street System Capital Improvement Project Fund budget with funding provided from General Fund, Roadway Impact Fee Fund, Keller Development Corporation Fund, and Water-Wastewater Utility Fund.
