Action Requested:

Consider a resolution appointing three (3) members of City Council, three (3) members of the Parks and Recreation Board, and representatives of the youth sports associations to a Task Force along with City Staff, to oversee an update of the Keller Sports Park.  Proposed members are:
-_____________, City Council, Task Force Chair
-_____________, City Council, Task Force Member
-_____________, City Council, Task Force Member
-Erin Pfarner, Parks and Recreation Board Chairperson, Task Force Member
-Felix Mira, Parks and Recreation Board Vice Chairperson, Task Force Member
-Jenilee Harwell, Parks and Recreation Board Member, Task Force Member
   -Youth sports organizations TBD

Background:

The City Council discussed updating the Keller Sports Park during the work session at their April 20, 2021 meeting.  At that time the Council discussed appointing a Task Force with no more than three (3) members of Council, no more than three (3) members of the Parks and Recreation Board, and representatives of the youth sports organizations.  The Task Force would be heavily involved in the Keller Sports Park update process, communication with the rest of the City Council and the Parks and Parks and Recreation Board on the process, and making recommendations to the City Council.

City Council determined the Keller Sports Park update to be a priority project at their retreat in March 2021.
