Consider a resolution approving the purchase of irrigation system parts and components for a central control system, from Longhorn, Inc., of Dallas, Texas, through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Cooperative Purchasing Program, for the Parks and Recreation Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all purchase documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving the purchase of irrigation system parts and components for a central control system, from Longhorn, Inc., of Dallas, Texas, in the amount of $57,231.23, through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Cooperative Purchasing Program.
Background:
These irrigation parts and components will allow all the irrigation systems at the Keller Sports Park and Keller Town Hall to be controlled and monitored via computer software. This will expedite schedule adjustments due to weather events. This system will also allow these irrigation systems to turn off if they detect a line break, while also alerting staff to inspect the system for needed repairs, resulting in considerable water and budget savings. This cost does not include the installation of these parts and components.
Financial Impact:
These irrigation parts and components, in the amount of $57,231.23, shall be paid from the FY 2025-26 Keller Development Corporation Budget.

This project was included in the adopted FY 2025-26 Keller Development Corporation Budget.
Legal Review:
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the proposed resolution.
