Consider a resolution approving an Interlocal Assistance Agreement for Fire and Explosion Investigations, coordinated by the Tarrant County Fire Marshal's Office, and authorizing the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Keller
Background:
The City of Keller has participated in the Tarrant County Fire and Explosion Investigations Interlocal Assistance Agreement since 2004. The agreement establishes a cooperative framework among participating governmental entities to provide mutual assistance in the investigation of fires, explosions, and suspected arson cases.
Under the agreement, participating agencies may request investigative assistance from one another when additional resources or specialized expertise are needed. The agreement also outlines the responsibilities of each participating agency regarding personnel, liability, workers' compensation, and other legal matters while providing mutual aid.
The updated agreement supersedes prior versions and incorporates revisions to reflect current statutory provisions and operational practices while continuing the cooperative relationship among participating agencies coordinated by the Tarrant County Fire Marshal's Office
