Subject:
Title
Consider a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Front Line Mobile Health, of Georgetown, Texas, for the purpose of providing annual physicals to firefighters, physicals to new hires, and a fit-for-duty program for a one (1) year period with four (4) additional one (1) year renewal periods, not to exceed five (5) years; and authorizing the City manager to execute all documents related thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Approve an agreement with Front Line Mobile Health to provide annual physicals to firefighters, physicals to new hires, and a fit-for-duty program for one year with four additional renewal options for a total for five years.
Background:
The Health Care Provider (HCP) that we have used for many years has become deficient in providing quality annual physical examinations that meet NFPA 1582 Standards. It is our desire to have a "One-Stop-Shop" for all of our Annual Physicals, New Hires, and Return to Duty physical examinations and to have a quality health and wellness program that will allow our firefighters to have a long, healthy career.
Financial Impact:
A healthy workforce can provide a higher level of service to our community and produce lower healthcare cost due to decreased sick leave and workers compensation claims. The cost of this program is $45,920 for the first year. The contract includes a maximum 5% per year cost increase for a total maximum contract cost of $253,736.99.
