Consider a resolution approving Contract Amendment # 5 to an Agreement for Design Services and Contract Administration with Parkhill, of Arlington, Texas, for design services related to the increased scope for the Materials Storage Screening Wall at the Keller Sports Park for the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Approve Contract Amendment # 5 to an Agreement for Design Services and Contract Administration with Parkhill, of Arlington, Texas in the total amount of $95,565.00
Background:
The city entered into a professional services agreement with Parkhill on March 22, 2022, for the construction document, bidding and construction administration phase services for the Keller Sports Park Renovation Project. The original design did not include improvements to the material storage area used by Parks and Recreation and Public Works adjacent to the arena area. After further discussions with staff, KDC and Council it was decided improvements would be needed to screen this area from park areas. This additional cost is to design a screening wall around the material storage area.
Contract Amendment # 5 to Parkhill's original agreement will include the additional scope to design a screening wall around the material storage area at Sports Park adjacent to the arena will bring the total contract with Parkhill to $2,958,817.
Financial Impact:
Funding in the amount of $95,565.00 shall be paid from the Water & Wastewater Capital Improvements Project Fund with funding provided by the Water & Wastewater Utility Fund.
