BACKGROUND:

Current ordinances address junked vehicles as well as vehicles with a GVWR which exceeds 14,000 lbs. Traffic safety concerns remain with larger box-type vehicles parking on the public street which are below 14,000. They create an obstructed view for drivers. This proposal reduces the maximum weight allowed from 14,000 to 11,000, providing additional enforcement options for the police department.
