Action Requested:                     

Approve the construction bid with Canary Construction of Lewisville, Texas; in the amount of $340,415.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute all related documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

 

Background:                     

On October 26, 2022, seven (7) bids were received for the Sanitary Sewer Line Extension on Melody Lane, Florence Road and Winter Drive project.  Staff, with the assistance of engineering firm Westra, evaluated the bids and references and recommends Canary Construction of Lewisville, Texas be awarded the contract in the amount of $340,415.00 with construction to be substantially complete within 120 calendar days.

The project includes sanitary sewer main line extensions and service line connections for property owners to connect to.  Each location is the result of property owners requesting sanitary sewer line extensions utilizing the current Sanitary Sewer Extension Policy.

A bid summary has been included for reference.

Financial Impact:

Funding is provided by the Fiscal Year 2022-23 Wastewater Impact Fee fund.

The City Attorney has reviewed and approved.
