Title

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of As-Needed Concrete Installation Services from CI Pavement of Grand Prairie, Texas, for the Sidewalk Additions Construction Project, in an amount not to exceed $443,634.60, for the Public Works Department, through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) purchasing cooperative; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Body

Action Requested:

Approve the purchase of As-Needed Concrete Installation Services from C.I. Pavement of Grand Prairie, Texas; for the Sidewalk Additions project in the amount of $443,634.60.

Background:

On November 19th, 2024, the City Council approved the agreement for Engineering services from Neel-Schaffer Inc. to design sidewalk connections for multiple locations city-wide that were identified as missing sidewalk sections or sidewalk connection deficiencies.

City staff is seeking to continue this work with the construction of the sidewalk locations associated with that design.

City staff has reviewed and determined that the TIPS-USA cooperative agreement for As-Needed Concrete Installation Services with the CI Pavement, provides the best cost for this work. The projected cost savings of utilizing this cooperative agreement will allow for additional not-yet-identified locations to be completed this year on an as-needed basis.

Financial Impact:

Funding is included in the Street System Capital Improvements Project Fund with funding provided by the General Fund.
