Consider a resolution approving the bid from SRH Landscapes, of Dallas, Texas for contractual services relating to Grounds Management Services - Parks, Facility Grounds, Medians and Parkways, for the Parks and Recreation Department, for a three (3) year period, with one (1) additional one (1) year renewal period, not to exceed four (4) years; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all contract documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving the bid from SRH Landscapes, for contractual services relating to Grounds Management Services - Parks, Facility Grounds, Medians and Parkways, for the Parks and Recreation Department for a three (3) year period, with one (1) additional one (1) year renewal period, not to exceed four (4) years for an amount not to exceed $289,250.00 per one-year term.
Background:
In the Fiscal Year 2023-24 General Fund Parks and Recreation Budget, funding was included for grounds maintenance services for parks, facility grounds, medians, and parkways.
Bid Item No. 1 includes mowing, edging, weed-eating and litter control of the following parks, facility grounds, medians and/or parkways:

h) Indian Trail at Harmonson Farms

m) Chase Oaks Activity Node
n) Keller Smithfield Activity Node
o) Willis Coves Preserve

A request for sealed bids for said services was advertised in accordance with State law. The term of the bid is three (3) twelve-month periods beginning March 1, 2024, with the option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year period.
Three (3) qualified bids were received and read aloud in accordance with State law on February 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. The lowest bid was submitted from SRH Landscapes, in the amount of $289,250.00 per one (1) year term.
SRH Landscapes currently performs grounds management services for the Parks and Recreation Department for our Town Center Mowing Contract.
Financial Impact:
Funding is available in the FY 2023-24 Parks and Recreation General Fund budget.
