Consider a resolution approving the purchase of concrete repair and replacement services from C.I. Pavement, of Grand Prairie, Texas; for the Public Works Department related to the 2026 Sidewalk Repair Project, through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS-USA) purchasing cooperative; and authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to execute all contract documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Approve a resolution for concrete repair and replacement services from C.I. Pavement of Grand Prairie, Texas; through the TIPS-USA purchasing cooperative in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00 and authorizing the City Manager, or designee, to execute all related documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Background:
The Public Works department will utilize the services of CI Pavement to address repairs identified by surveying the 2nd of four city quadrants. The 2026 Sidewalk Repair Project represents a continuation of the active management of the sidewalk system.
TIPS is a cooperative purchasing group and program that allows state and local governments to benefit from shared purchasing power. Utilizing this type of program for construction and repair services meets the City of Keller’s competitive bidding requirements and streamlines the purchasing process.
City staff recommends using CI Pavement of Grand Prairie, Texas via the Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS-USA) in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00.
Financial Impact:
Funding is included in the Street System Capital Improvements Project Fund with funding provided by the General Fund.
