Action Requested:
Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with CI Pavement of Grand Pairie, Texas for the purchase of asphalt and concrete repair and related services for a total cost of $720,000.00, through the Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Cooperative Purchasing Program.
Background:
The City of Keller has developed a plan for the phased reclamation of the parking surfaces at the Keller Sports Park and at Bear Creek Park. This project will complete the portion of repairs that were identified to be completed in 2021, which include the baseball parking lot at the Keller Sports Park, and the Shady Lane and Maintenance parking lots at Bear Creek Park.
These repair services provide for the most time and cost efficient repairs of deteriorating parking lots at the Keller Sports Park and Bear Creek Park.
TIPS is a purchasing program that allows state and local governments to benefit from the shared purchasing power of numerous state entities. A detailed bid sheet for the requested repairs is included with this memo as an exhibit.
City staff has reviewed and determined that the estimate from CI Pavement of Grand Prairie, Texas provides for the lowest and most responsible unit prices for such services and recommends the purchase of asphalt repair and related services in an amount not to exceed $720,000.00.
