Action Requested:
Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement with CMJ Engineering, Inc. for the purchase of construction materials testing services for the Keller Senior Activities Center project in the amount of $65,152.25.
Background:
In 2019, The City of Keller contracted CMJ Engineering, Inc., based on qualifications, to provide Geotechnical Engineering Study services for the purpose of determining the general subsurface conditions, evaluate the engineering characteristics of the subsurface materials encountered, and develop recommendations for the type or types of foundations suitable for the Keller Senior Activities Center (KSAC).
As construction begins on the KSAC, testing must be conducted to ensure construction materials meet strength and construction specifications of the plans. CMJ Engineering, Inc. is recommended to provide these services based on their qualifications and prior work on the project.
