Background:
The City of Keller Fire Department is proposing the purchase of a new Dodge Heavy-Duty Ambulance for its Emergency Medical Services Division, totaling $506,707.52. This vehicle will replace a 2015 Dodge Ram, which will be repurposed as a CERT Team response vehicle.
The purchase includes a Dodge chassis from Grapevine Dodge through the Buyboard agreement for $68,982.00. Frazer will then use this chassis to build a new module, completing the ambulance for an additional $437,725.52, making the total cost $506,707.52. The anticipated delivery of the completed ambulance is within 16-18 months.
The City of Keller Fire Department recommends that the City Council approve the purchase of this Dodge Ram 4500 Heavy-Duty Ambulance.
