Action Requested:
Approval of the endorsement for the implementation of a pretreatment program as required by 40 CFR 403 for the Trinity River Authority’s Central Regional Wastewater System and Denton Creek Regional Wastewater System with such program to continue as long as 40 CFR 403 remains in effect.
Background:
The City of Keller is committed to ensuring compliance with federal environmental regulations aimed at protecting water quality and managing wastewater effectively. This resolution supports the ongoing implementation of a Pretreatment Program, as mandated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s rule 40 CFR 403. The program is designed to regulate and control the discharge of non-domestic waste into public wastewater treatment systems to prevent harmful pollutants from entering regional water resources. The City, in partnership with the Trinity River Authority of Texas, will continue to enforce these standards to protect public health and the environment.
