Title

Consider a resolution approving the bid from Trane U.S. Inc., of Fort Worth, Texas, for HVAC Software Maintenance and Support Services for Keller Town Hall, The Keller Pointe, and the Keller Police Facility, for the Facilities Department and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller.

Body

Action Requested:

Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement between the City of Keller and Trane U.S. Inc., for HVAC Software Maintenance and Support Services for Town Hall, The Keller Pointe, and the Keller Police Facility, in the amount not to exceed $68,424.00

Background:

The heating, ventilating and air-conditioning equipment (HVAC) for Keller Town Hall, The Keller Pointe, and the Keller Police Facility all require proprietary software to operate correctly. This software allows staff to program all the units for seamless operation and also alerts staff to any issues that need immediate attention. Staff has been using this software since each facility was constructed.

Financial Impact:

The proposed software maintenance agreement covers a five-year term, at a total cost of $68,424.00. The FY2025-26, FY2026-27, FY 2027-28, FY2028-29 and FY2029-30 General Fund and Keller Pointe Fund Budgets include annual funding for the software maintenance and service support for various heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in Keller Town Hall, The Keller Pointe, and the Keller Police Facility.

Legal Review:

The agreements have been reviewed and approved by the City Attorney.
