Title

Consider a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Teague, Nall and Perkins, of Fort Worth, Texas, to provide engineering services for the Bear Creek Parkway Bridge Erosion Protection Project for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Body

Action Requested:

Consider a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Teague, Nall and Perkins of Fort Worth, Texas in the amount of $228,150.00 and authorizing the City Manager to execute all related documents on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.

Background:

The Bear Creek Parkway bridge over Big Bear Creek in the Hidden Lakes subdivision has experienced erosion around the bridge pier foundations and is in need of improvements to stop the erosion and add protection from future erosion (see included project map).

Teague, Nall and Perkins (TNP) designed the bridge in 1996 and it has required minimal maintenance until now.  Erosion around the bridge pier foundations has reached a point where improvements are needed.  Staff worked with TNP to develop a scope for the project, which includes engineering design, construction management and inspection, surveying, subsurface utility engineering, easement preparation and negotiation services and environmental services.

Financial Impact:

The cost of the agreement is $228,150.00 and funding is provided in the Street System Capital Improvement Project Fund with funding provided from the General Fund.
