Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving the purchase of water and sewer service installation services from Tex-Pro Construction, LLC, of Fort Worth, Texas in an amount not to exceed $104,700 on an as needed basis.
Background:
Annually, the Water & Wastewater division of the Public Works Department will award or renew a contract for water and sewer service installations staff anticipates for the upcoming fiscal year. On Friday, October 22, 2021, a proposal was received from one vendor for as needed water and sewer service installations. Other vendors were notified of the RFP, but none of those contacted responded to the advertisement.
The proposal, meeting all specifications and bidding all required line items was $104,700 from Tex-Pro Construction, LLC, of Fort Worth, Texas. This proposal represents a 7.16% increase over the fiscal year 2020-21 contract award.
These services provide for the most cost efficient construction for the supply lines of potable water and removal of sewage waste from new and/or reconstruction activities for residential and commercial properties on an as needed basis.

Financial Impact:
Funding for these annually renewable activities is provided in the Fiscal Year 2021-22 Water & Wastewater Utility Fund operating budget in the amount of $104,700. Funding in future years for these activities is contingent upon budget appropriations by the City Council through multiple fiscal years.
