Consider a resolution authorizing the use of the Construction Manager-At-Risk Method for the Alta Vista Pump Station and the Competitive Sealed Proposals Method for the Alta Vista Transnission Main projects to provide the best value for the City of Keller (Project Nos. 600-CIP-1201 & 600-CIP-1202, respectively).
Background:
Texas Local Government Code 2269 allows construction projects to be delivered in a method other than design-bid-build. However, the municipality must formally state what method provides the best value prior to advertising. On May 16, 2017, City Council was presented with and supported the recommendation to provide the best value alternative project delivery methods of Construction Manager-At-Risk for the Alta Vista Pump Station and Competitive Sealed Proposals for the Alta Vista Transmission Main projects.
Budget Impact:
The costs for project delivery are included in each of the project budgets.
