Title

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of four (4) Stryker Power Load Devices for the Emergency Medical Services Division of the Fire Department, and authorizing the City Manager to execute all purchase documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller.

Body

Action Requested:

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of four (4) Stryker Power Load Devices for four (4) existing ambulances for the Fire Department.

Background:

A power load device is a cot loading and unloading device that improves patient and operator safety by supporting the cot throughout the loading and unloading process.

The move to upgrade to the power load devices will bring our fleet up to current standards and increase safety for our citizens, patients and fire personnel by reducing the potential for injuries.

This resolution is for approval of the equipment purchase. Installation costs are still to be determined but are estimated at $10,000 from a separate vendor.

Budget Impact:

The cost of this project is $99,807. Funding is available in the FY2018 General Fund Fire Department Budget.
