Consider a resolution approving an Agreement for Professional Services with Dunaway, of Fort Worth, Texas; for the purpose of providing engineering design, relating to the Johnson Road and Keller-Smithfield Road Round-a-bout Project, for the Public Works Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving a professional services agreement with Dunaway for the design of the Johnson Road and Keller-Smithfield Road round-a-bout in the amount of $196,516.
Background:
The City’s Capital Improvements Program (CIP) includes improvements to the Johnson Road and Keller-Smithfield Road intersection. On Wednesday, December 6, 2017 staff received fifteen statements of qualifications from engineering firms in response to the City’s request for qualifications (RFQ). After extensive review of each submittal, staff determined that Dunaway was the most qualified. Staff then negotiated a proposal for design and construction services. The scope of the professional services agreement includes a traffic operational analysis, intersection control evaluation, round-a-bout design plans, landscape architecture services, surveying services and geotechnical services.
Budget Impact:
Funding is included in the Fiscal Year 2017-18 Street System Capital Improvement Program Fund budget.

The Agreement was reviewed by the City Attorney.
