Consider a resolution approving an Agreement for Professional Services with Atlantis Pool Plastering, Inc., of Austin, Texas; for the purpose of providing re-plaster services, and Pebble Tech entry replacement relating to re-plastering the outdoor pool at The Keller Pointe, for the Parks and Recreation Department; and further authorizing the City Manager to execute all contract documents relating thereto on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution to approve the purchase of pool re-plastering services in the amount of $103,476 for The Keller Pointe outdoor pool through Atlantis Pool Plastering, Inc.
Background:
The FY 2017-18 budget allocates $100,000 for the purchase of re-plastering services for The Keller Pointe outdoor pool due to pop-ups and cracks in the existing plaster. The allocated amount was based off of estimates to install a Diamond Brite plaster, which carries a five-year warranty.
Budget Impact:
The low bid for this project came in at $96,844, with an alternate bid of $6,632 to replace the Pebble Tech entry for a total project cost of $103,476. The budget for the project is $100,000 for a variance of $3,476. Departmental savings within the Pointe budget will be used to cover the project cost variance.
