Action Requested:                     

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of miscellaneous concrete construction and repair services from Apex Concrete Construction, Inc. of Keller, Texas through the interlocal agreement with North Richland Hills (See Exhibit A).

Background:                     

The City of Keller entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of North Richland Hills on July 19, 2005 (Resolution 2316) for cooperative purchasing of various goods, materials, equipment and supplies.

The City of North Richland Hills has entered into an annually renewable contract with Apex Concrete Construction, Inc. of Keller, Texas, for miscellaneous concrete construction and repair services. These services provide for the most cost efficient construction and repairs of small areas on an as needed basis.

City staff has reviewed and determined that the bid (See Exhibit B) and its current renewal (See Exhibit C) from Apex Concrete Construction of Keller, Texas for the City of North Richland Hills provides for the lowest and most responsible unit prices for such services and recommends the purchase of miscellaneous concrete construction and repair services in an amount not to exceed two hundred thirty thousand dollars ($230,000) on an as needed basis over the next twelve (12) months.
                     

Financial Impact:

Funding for these services is available in the General Fund - Public Works Department and CIP FY 2018-19 Adopted Budgets.
