Body

Action Requested:

Consider a resolution approving the purchase of seventeen (17) pieces of strength equipment, from TechnoGym, of Fairfield, New Jersey, through the National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance Program.

Background:

The current equipment is seven years old and reaching the end of its life cycle.  The existing equipment has become cost prohibitive with replacement costs and staffing hours to repair and maintain.

The National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance program provides a cooperative purchasing program, National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance, which allows all federal, state, local governments, universities, and school districts to benefit from shared purchasing power.

TechnoGym is a National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance program provider and is well known in the fitness industry.  TechnoGym Selection line is proposed to replace the existing equipment for $80,191.36.  The recommended equipment line currently exists in the Lifetime Athletic Fort Worth, TD Ameritrade, Conoco Phillips Head Quarters, Club Corp, Brookhaven Country Club, Hackberry Creek Country Club, and Kendra Scott in Austin, with future installations scheduled in the City of Farmers Branch.  The warranty on the new equipment includes 10 years on the structural frame; 3 years on the touch screen, iPod electric and electronic parts, guide rods, cams, pulleys, bearings, and bushings.

Financial Impact:

The FY 2018-19 Keller Pointe Budget includes funds for strength equipment replacement.
