Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, pursuant to Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code, and pursuant to the City’s Economic Development Policy, with Brittany Williams, owner of property located at 121 Olive Street, Keller, Texas, for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant.
Action Requested:
Consider a resolution approving a Chapter 380 Economic Development Program Agreement, for a City of Keller Façade Improvement Matching Grant, in the amount of $2,042.50.
Background:
Brittany Williams, owner of property at 121 East Olive Street, is requesting a $2,042.50 façade improvement grant for façade renovation of the existing building that will house BakeologyDFW. The Façade Improvement Grant is included in the Economic Development Program Chapter 380 Agreement between City of Keller and Brittany Williams.
Improvements to the façade will include powerwashing the building, sealing around windows where needed and a fresh coat of paint. Total estimated cost of the eligible improvements is $4,085.
Financial Impact:
The remaining budget for the 2019 Fiscal Year is $35,000. If the façade improvement grant application is approved, the remaining program budget would be $32,957.50.
Citizen Input/Board Review:
The Keller Economic Development Board unanimously voted to recommend approval of this Façade Improvement Matching Grant request at their regularly scheduled meeting on November 19, 2018.
Legal Review:
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed the proposed Chapter 380 Agreement.
