Consider a resolution rejecting the bids for Janitorial Services for The Keller Pointe and authorizing the City Manager to re-advertise the bid on behalf of the City of Keller, Texas.
Background:
A Request for Proposals was advertised in accordance with state law for Janitorial Services at The Keller Pointe. Add alternates were also included consisting of window cleaning and gymnasium floor resurfacing.
Eight (8) proposals were received and read aloud in accordance with State Law on December 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. The proposing vendors indicated a price increase between thirty six percent (36%) and sixty five percent (65%) over the current budgeted amount.
Due to the price increase, Staff will conduct further research to evaluate and examine janitorial requirements and improve our bid.
