Action Requested:

Consider a resolution approving a Professional Services Agreement with Peloton Land Solutions for the design of US 377 Sanitary Sewer Extension Phase II in the amount of $76,800.

Background:

City Council approved the Agreement for Professional Services with Peloton Land Solutions at the August 15, 2017 meeting.  Since then, staff has been meeting with property owners to acquire a necessary easement for connecting to the existing sanitary sewer system.  Staff has met with all project stakeholders and negotiated the sanitary sewer line responsibilities of each party.  The city will provide the final design, construction plans and secure the necessary easements, and the developers will construct the line.

Financial Impact:

The Phase I professional services agreement of $122,500 and Phase II professional services agreement of $76,800 totals $199,300 and is within the $600.000 budget included in the Fiscal Year 2018-19 Capital Improvements Program. The scope of the professional services agreements include final design, construction plans, TxDOT permitting and geotechnical investigations.
