Background:                     

The proposed ordinance is calling for the November 5, 2019, City of Keller Sales and Use Tax Election for the reauthorization of the street maintenance local sales and use tax at a rate of one-fourth of one percent.

 

This resolution ordering the Sales and Use Tax Election will be amended at a later date to include designated polling locations for Election Day, as well as the early voting by personal appearance locations.

 

The resolution also declares the election will be conducted by Tarrant County Elections Administration and designates the Tarrant County Elections Administrator as the Early Voting Clerk.  An election services contract with Tarrant County Elections Administration will be presented at a later date for the County to conduct the election.

 

Staff recommends approval of the resolution as presented.
